3. Contact your MP and MPP
Let your elected representatives know what is going on with respect to medical privacy!
Follow these steps:
1 ➠ Find the name and contact details of your MPP using the Find My MPP tool on the Legislative Assembly of Ontario website: https://www.ola.org/en/members
2 ➠ Find the name and contact details of your MP using the Find Members of Parliament tool on the House of Commons website: https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en
3 ➠ Request an appointment with them to discuss the issue of patient medical privacy. Ask them why does the CPSO have so much power? Why does it appear that the courts are siding with the regulatory bodies and ignoring the constitutional privacy right of Canadians?
4 ➠ Send a letter/email to them and ask them to raise this issue in Question Period.
5 ➠ Let us know who you have contacted and keep us posted on any replies you receive.
